  • Successfully fought for stop sign on Cornelia Avenue at North Railroad Avenue;

  • Worked with DEP and DOT to get trench restoration contract for Upton Street to fix severe street cave-in;
  • Had Parks Department replace netting at the ball fields at General Douglas MacArthur;
  • Park to keep stray balls from hitting neighboring houses;
  • Worked with DEP to successfully resolve raw sewage back-up problem on Newberry Avenue and helped residents file and resolve claims with Comptroller’s Office;
  • Fought to keep Last Chance Pond from being developed and funded $800,000 towards its acquisition by DEP for the Bluebelt;
  • Had curbs installed at Chapin Woods;
  • Had Dongan Hills train station repainted in 2004 after it was vandalized;
  • Currently working with NYS DEC to resolve wild turkey problem;
  • Resurfacing of Xenia Street;
  • Interceptor Repair work to improve flooding conditions in the Naughton and Mason Avenue areas;
  • Had 252 Cromwell Avenue vacated and sealed;
  • Red light arrow installed at the intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Cromwell Avenue;
  • Worked with DEP to have Sunken Catch Basin at Richmond Road and Cromwell Avenue;

  • Loose Manhole Cover at the Intersection of Richmond Road and Cromwell Avenue repaired;

  • Had various Catch Basins Cleaned Along North Railroad Avenue;

  • Successfully alleviated gas smell on Naughton Avenue;

  • Plattsburg Street between Delaware Avenue and Seaview Avenue has been approved for a future resurfacing;

  • Quintard Street between Jerome Road and Laconia Avenue has been approved for a future resurfacing;

  • Clean Up Along Hunter Avenue Between Haven Avenue and Nugent Avenue;

  • Hunter Avenue Between South Railroad and Father Capodanno Boulevard has been approved for a future resurfacing;

  • Bedford Avenue between Mason Avenue and Grimbsy Street resurfaced in Fall 2010;

  • Repaired Noisy Manhole Cover at the Intersection of Hylan Boulevard and Slater Boulevard;

  • DOT installed “Stop Ahead” signs along Laconia Avenue at Jefferson Street;

  • Repaired Sunken Manholes Along Prescott Avenue between S. Railroad and Hylan Boulevard;

  • Clean Up area along Staten Island Railway;

  • DOT installed a seven second Leading Pedestrian Interval [LPI] to cross Hylan Boulevard. The overall crossing time was also increased by three seconds for all patterns;

  • Repaired Loose manhole cover at Hylan Boulevard and Slate Boulevard;

  • Garbage and debris in creek on Hunter Avenue between Moreland Street and Idlease Place was cleaned;

  • Resurfaced Midland Avenue between Mason Avenue and Father Capodanno Boulevard;

  • Midland Avenue Between Richmond Road and North Railroad Avenue this location is tentatively scheduled for resurfacing during Fiscal Year 2012;

  • Resurfaced Lisbon Place Between Bedford Avenue and Lincoln Avenue;

  • Worked with DOT and DEP to have street cave in condition on Ridge Avenue and Vista Avenue repaired.
