  • Fought to get Dalton Avenue Sewer project separated from Rockland Avenue project, as well as getting sewer project expedited once it was separated from Rockland Avenue.
  • Oversaw Weed Avenue/Manila Place sewer project and worked with DDC to ensure project was completed after original contractor went bankrupt.
  • Got Turning Arrow at Intersection of Rockland Avenue and Richmond Road
  • Placement of Traffic Light at Richmond Road and Altamont to allow residents of New Dorp Heights to exit their neighborhood safely.
  • Worked with NYPD to Close Element Night Club on New Dorp Lane
  • Oversaw Mews Main Street Project on New Dorp Lane (Revitilization project that included new sidewalks, new old-fashioned street lights and planting of street trees)
  • Successfully fought to have DOT remove old sidewalk violations and liens for New Dorp Lane merchants
  • Successfully fought to have King Chef Restaurant on New Dorp Lane close illegal drain in parking lot that was causing sewage back-up problem for residents residing on surrounding blocks.
  • Successfully fought to have 52 Beacon Avenue reduced after Builder built house to big and failed to leave minimum 30-foot backyard.
  • Successfully fought for removal of “No Standing” signs along the Miller Field Side of New Dorp Lane Between Mill Road and Cedar Grove Avenue to allow more parking for residents.
  • Had Vacant House at 147 Cedar Grove Avenue exterminated, cleaned, and sealed.
  • Placement of Additional street lighting on Milton Avenue.
  • Successfully requested that DOS implement scheduled street sweeping on New Dorp Lane and Ebbitts Street.
  • Called for Parks Department to allow waterfront access and for continuation of Bike Path at New Dorp Beach.
  • Successfully fought to have speed humps installed on Clawson Street for PS 41.
  • Milling and Resurfacing of Clawson Street to correct several ponding conditions along this stretch of roadway.
  • Successfully worked with DEP and DOT to resolve flooding problem at Clawson Street and Jacques Avenue. Catch Basins were installed and street was regraded.
  • Worked with DOT and New Dorp Lane Merchants to change parking requirements on New Dorp Lane from “1 Hour Parking 9AM to 7PM” to 2 Hour Parking 9AM to 5PM to help businesses attract more customers.
  • Worked with SI Railway to add six benches to New Dorp Train Station
  • Worked with City Planning to remove residential zoning component from Commercial Strip on New Dorp Lane to prevent another “Bowling on the Green” situation. (Change prevented 267 New Dorp Lane (Old Welsh Insurance building) from becoming a four story, 16 unit apartment complex)
  • Worked with SI Railway to get New Dorp Train Station repainted in 2009.
  • Had uprooted trees removed and new sidewalks installed on Otis Avenue and Locust Avenue along PS 41 perimeter after March 2010 Hurricane caused trees and sidewalks to uplift.
  • Successfully fought to have speed humps installed on Otis Avenue for PS 41.
  • Successfully prompted DOT to agree to install additional street lighting on 8th Street Between Princeton Avenue and Cannon Boulevard. New Lighting is scheduled to be installed during the last quarter of 2011.
  • DEP cleaned out Gledner Avenue catch Basin
  • Repaired malfunction street light in front of 212 Bryant Avenue
  • Sterling Avenue between Hylan and 10th Street resurfacing in Spring 2011
  • Funded $1.6 million for the creation of New Dorp Beach Park
