Grant City Intersections
- Placement of All-Way Stop Sign at Midland Avenue and Edison Street;
- Placement of School Crossing Markings and Crosswalks at the intersection of Midland Avenue and Edison Street to allow pedestrians to get to St. Christopher’s Church and Pre-School;
- Placement of All-Way Stop Sign on Greeley and Edison Street;
- Addition of left turning lane on Midland Avenue at North Railroad Avenue;
- Installation of additional left turning lane on Midland Avenue at Hylan Boulevard;
- Placement of All-Way Stop Sign on Jefferson and Husson Streets;
Grasmere
- Successfully prompted DOT to expedite installation of new curbs on North Railroad Avenue between Fingerboard Road and Grasmere Avenue.
- Prompted DOT to install the “Don’t Block the Box” gridlock treatment at the intersection of Cleveland Place and Fingerboard Road.
- Prompted DOT to install crosswalk, stop line, and stop word message at the intersection of West Fingerboard Road and Columbus Avenue.
Midland Beach
- Worked with DOT to install Speed Limit Message signs along Greeley Avenue; Installation of sidewalk on Patterson Avenue and Lincoln Avenue
- Placement of All-Way Stop Sign at Boundary Avenue and Lincoln Avenue
- Successfully relocated bus stop in front of deli at 578 Midland Avenue to another location after receiving calls from merchants in the area
- Resurfacing of Greeley Avenue.
New Dorp
- Turning Arrow at Intersection of Rockland Avenue and Richmond Road
- Placement of Traffic Light at Richmond Road and Altamont to allow residents of New Dorp Heights to exit their neighborhood safely
- Successfully fought for removal of “No Standing” signs along the Miller Field Side of New Dorp Lane Between Mill Road and Cedar Grove Avenue to allow more parking for residents
- Successfully requested that Beach Avenue be resurfaced after personally witnessing the poor road conditions
- Successfully added additional parking at the end of New Dorp Lane by removing guardrail and opening up the end of the street
- Successfully fought to have speed humps installed on Clawson Street for PS 41
- Milling and Resurfacing of Clawson Street to correct several ponding conditions along this stretch of roadway
Old Town
- Prompted DOT to install yellow flashing light on Hylan Boulevard near the Academy of St. Dorothy
- Relocation of bus stop in front of St. Dorothy’s to CVS to reduce traffic and improve safety at location
- Relocation of bus stop in front of Royal Crown to SI Saving Bank to help traffic flow more efficiently
- New street lighting on Dawson Place
- Resurfacing of Glendale Avenue
- Intersection improvements at intersection of Old Town Road and Hylan Boulevard
- Prompted DOT to install crosswalk, stop line, and stop word message at the intersection of West Fingerboard Road and Columbus Avenue
Travis:
- Widening of intersection and installation of turning bays at Victory Boulevard and Travis Avenue
- Installation of Left Turn Signals at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Travis Avenue
- Resurfacing of Latimer Avenue, off Shenandoah Avenue
Willowbrook
- Successfully prompted DOT to install a traffic light in front of PS54 at the intersection of Willowbrook Road and Sheraden Avenue
- Successfully prompted DOT to create angled parking on Sunset Avenue to create additional parking spots at PS54
- Successfully prompted DOT to install “Right on Red” on Forest Hill Road at Harold Street
- Resurfacing of Forest Hill Road
- Resurfaced South Gannon Avenue between Willowbrook Road and Martin Avenue
